Database Enhanced tool for Teleco

DetTo is a database management tool designed for teleco companies. The aim of the tool is to gather and store all the information needed from different teams.

As of now , many companies still use excel to track and store information, and the reason is the lack of customization of a tool. This tool can be used by all the team working to implement a mobile site in a network. ( call it BTS, NodeB or eNodeB) just to confirm the need of the tool.

The idea behind the tool was simple, to create a simple database tool , but at the same time manage process. We shall elaborate more on each step in details later. The tool can be used by the Roll out team; the department using the tool are:

Planning team: The design team can create Nominals, update the antennae needed for each site, request for antennae change.

Site acquisition team: upload the site documentation from authority like affection plan, build permit, final location; the team can also update the rent for each site in the tool, the start and the end of the lease agreement, etc.

Civil Work team: upload civil layout of the site, the start of work and the end of work of the civil team of the structure . drawing and structure specification is uploaded on the tool, also the loading per structure to avoid antennae overloading.

Transmission team: Can update the links per site, even, can update the transmission media ( fiber or Microwave)

Power team: Can confirm and upload in the tool , if the site is powered, and the type of power : commercial or generator.

TI team: Can upload the installation update of the antennae and the equipment for each site.

Finance team: Tool can accept the cost of each site with the uploaded BOQ per site.

Regardless of the structure of your organization, the process to implement a site will remain the same, meaning , you need the design team to specify a nominal location, The site acquisition team to hunt the location, got approval from the design on the location before releasing the site to the civil team. This tool is tight to close any gap in the process , manage the team and the flow of work.

In addition to the above, you can also use the tool as inventory tool to track some of the most valuable equipment in your sites.
